Data requirement of every computer user is increasing exponentially so there is need of well organised space to store data.Systemetic and organised data is easy to locate and find.Nowadays computer are coming with TB’S of hard disk space, its need of time to create partition such that related data resides in a specific partition. This arrangement let you retrieve data easily as you are well aware in which drive I need to find.

In this article I will show you how to use windows utility to create disk partition.Creating partition means dividing total storage to different small parts. This feature is quite useful for dividing space according to user.In my case,I generally don’t keep any data in OS drive,as PC may require formatting in case of crash or virus corruption.

This empty space can be converted into new drive using window utility.Just follow the given steps and create a new drive according to your need.

Open control panel
»  In search bar type partition.

Create and format hard disk partitions.
     »  Open it.

»  Disk Management window will pop-up.

Select Drive of which you wish to create new partition. In my case I choose C:
   »   Right click on it.

   »  Shrink volume.

»  After processing of few minutes,it will show maximum space that can be used for partition.

»  Select amount of space you want to shrink.

    »  Click on shrink..

»   You will see new unallocated space.

»   Right click on it,select new simple volume.

»   Choose drive Letter(drive name) and click next.
